Terms
Reservations: Reservations can be made by phone, fax or e-mail:

Payment by Check: Upon making a reservation,
you will be forwarded a rental agreement. We require a 50% deposit by check payable to Valencia Rentals and a completed reservation form at the time of the reservation. Please mail to our business address: 4345 Escondido Trail, Malibu, CA 90265. In addition, you will need to provide
a current credit card
number and authorize a charge for the security deposit.
The 50% balance by check is due 60 days prior to check in.
Once your
signed rental agreement and payment are received, you will receive confirmation of your reservation via fax
or e-mail and a check-in package with maps, key pick up instructions and other useful information to plan your trip.
Payment by Credit Card: In order to reduce the rental prices from the previous 2006-2010 rates, we no longer accept credit cards for the rental amount. The bank charges us as much as 9% fee for every transaction. For international customer or guests needing to pay by credit card, we will accept a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) with an 8% surcharge added to rental amount.
All rates are in US Funds.
Security Deposit: The $1000 security deposit must be held on a valid credit card (Visa or MasterCard). The security deposit will be processed on your credit card 72 hours prior
to your check-in. The property will be inspected by the property manager
prior to your arrival and immediately following your departure. In addition,
you will be asked to review and sign an inventory of the unit property
upon your arrival. Tenants must report damage to their unit or any missing
items immediately or it will be deemed that they are responsible for said
damage. If the unit is found in appropriate order following your departure,
the full value of the security deposit will be refunded within 72 hours
following your check-out. In all other cases, the cost of any damages
or missing items will be deducted from the security deposit before refunding
the remaining balance.
Occupancy: The maximum occupancy is six adults or eight persons including children.
The responsible adult signing the rental agreement and posting security
deposit must be at least 25 years of age. No exceptions.
Check-in Time: 2:00 PM
Check-out Time: 11:00 AM
Unit Access: Each tenant will be provided with one set of keys upon check-in. The keys
must be returned to the property management office upon check-out. If
you decide to check-out while the property management office is closed,
you can put your keys in the late box, which is located next to the front
door of our office. Should the keys be lost by you, a charge of $100 will
be deducted from the security deposit.
Late Arrival: We will be happy to leave a packet containing keys and directions to properties
for any of our guests arriving after our office is closed, provided they
have paid their balance in full. For your late check-in please contact
us.
Cancellations/Refunds
Cancellation of a confirmed reservation in excess of 60 days prior to reservation
date will result in the refund of 50% of the initial deposit (equal to 25% of agreed rent). All cancellations
shall be subject to a penalty fee of 25% of agreed rent. Valencia Rentals must be
notified in writing of a cancellation.
If a cancellation
is made within 60 days of the reservation date, the advance payments will
be held until the property is re-rented. If the rental period is not re-booked
with a new party, the entire deposits received will be forfeited in total. Every
effort will be made to re-rent the property following a cancellation.
No refunds will
be made due to unfavorable weather, maintenance problems, inoperable appliances
or faulty equipment, disruption of utility services or early departure
due to a personal emergency.
Other
Policies
Policies: Sorry, no pets allowed. No smoking inside house.
Telephones: Local telephone service is provided at no charge. If you plan to make international calls, please bring an international calling card or international access number to use. You can also make arrangements through your cell phone service in advance for international calling rates.
Electricity/Water: From time to time, the electricity and/or water may be turned off temporarily
by the Costa Rican authorities for conservation purposes. Please note
that the property manager/owner has no control over these situations and the
discontinuation is generally of short duration (one to two hours). Guests will not be entitled to any refunds for these disruptions in services as they are a normal part of daily life in Costa Rica and totally out of our control.
Tenant Responsibilities: We ask that the property be treated as if it were your own. Please leave
the property as you found it. Do not rearrange the bedding or furniture.
During your stay:
—Do not smoke inside the house
—Do not sit on furniture with wet clothing or bathing suits
—Hang wet towels and clothing outside to dry
—Do not leave food and beverages exposed to attract insects inside the house
—Lock up valuables in safes provided when leaving the house for the day or evening
—Lock doors and windows every time you leave the house unoccupied—petty theft is a big problem in Costa Rica
Please be considerate
of the other tenants within the Casablanca Resort by following these guidelines:
Pool hours are 7 AM to 11 PM
No outside visitors allowed at Casablanca Resort at any time
Common areas should be appropriately shared
Keep noise and music to a reasonable level
No illicit drug use on property
No pets allowed in the pool area or common property
Upon your departure, please be sure to perform the following tasks:
Wash and put away all dishes
Leave dirty linens and towels on the bathroom or bedroom floor
Turn off all lights and A/C units
Close windows and lower shades
Lock all doors and windows
Failure of tenants
to comply with all tenant responsibilities will result in tenant being
charged for additional cleaning services and/or damages. |
