Getting There

Airfares run as low as $300 up to $700 round trip from various U.S cities to San Jose or Liberia, Costa Rica. It's cheaper than Hawaii, similar in distance to the Caribbean and a nice change from Mexico! There are new direct flights from Newark NJ and Los Angeles, CA directly to Liberia. You can connect from almost anywhere in Atlanta, Miami or Houston.

It's Easy to Get to Costa Rica!
Tamarindo has its own airport allowing 30 minute domestic flights from San Jose. It is only a 45 minute drive from the Liberia International airport or a 4 hour drive from San Jose. Numerous airlines fly to San Jose and Liberia. Major U.S. cities with direct flights to Costa Rica include Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, New York, Orlando, New Orleans, Atlanta and others.

Airline Mileage:
Flights to Costa Rica using airline mileage are easy to obtain. Most frequent flyer programs only require 35,000 miles round trip from the U.S. to San Jose, Costa Rica.

Local Flights In Costa Rica:
$85 one way from San Jose to Tamarindo on SANSA or Nature Air.

Airport Shuttles in Costa Rica:
The approximate cost is $220 for a private shuttle van ground transport from San Jose to Tamarindo for up to 6 people. Add $10 for each extra person. From San Jose, the shuttle service must be booked directly with one of the national shuttle services on our "links" page. Prices may vary from company to company.

From Liberia Airport, the shuttle cost is $80/one way reserved directly from us through our management office. This is a flat fee for groups up to 6 people. Add $10 for each extra person. From Liberia Airport, we can book a regular driver from Tamarindo who can provide door-to-door service with house keys. Contact Debra for Liberia Airport shuttle reservations.
